Mira’s life takes a new turn when she’s given a contract in D Reynolds company owned by a narcissistic billionaire. Her only desire was to give her family a comfortable life.
In a trial to get over her past, she gets drunk in a club and Anthony's best friend drugs him so he could loosen up and have fun.
It results in Mira and Anthony spending a passionate night together. Mira then reveals to him about her desire to abort the child which he disagrees with and proposes marriage on the condition of a year just so he could claim his heir. Only for him to discover on his wedding night that he isn't the father.
Then who is the father?
Would Anthony seek a divorce?
Would Anthony forgive his best friend for drugging him that night?
...........
Silence engulfed the atmosphere watching Anthony slowly walk towards me.
His unbuttoned shirt and tattoos peeking from it didn't help either. His gray orbs had gold specks around them which became more visible as his long thick lashes blinked.
He came so close that I could feel him breathing on my face. I was too challenged to look away
Slowly leaning in, I closed my eyes in anticipation.
" What are you doing. " His minty breath mixed with coffee fanned my face invading my senses. I sucked in a deep breath letting my breath mingle with his.
Suddenly his warmth disappeared. The cold air hit me hard making me snap my eyes open only to see him scanning through some documents
My back hit the shelf as I held onto my bag tighter. Only then did I realize he wasn't trying to kiss me. He only wanted to get some documents from the shelf.
......
I hummed dropping the glass cup on the table. His arms crossed mine, filling the cup with water and drinking it, while I stood there frozen. He definitely has an effect on me and he knows
“Nevertheless we are getting married tomorrow”
“ Tomorrow? “ I questioned dragging my eyes from his rosy wet lips to focus on his eyes but the water he rank didn't help either.
Subconsciously , I wet mine, watching him glance at my lips and wiping water from the corner of my mouth.
“Yes. It would be in the outskirts of town. We have to act fast before my mother brings up a plan” he broke the contact, his tone blank.
