Have you ever passed a beger on the street and wondered to yourself what their story was? What led them to this poverty? Do they deserve a second glance? Are you better than this unfortunate soul because you have income and contribute to society? Are you less than this person because of these very reasons? Could you have the humility to face the judgement and ridicule of your neighbors and complete strangers as you beg and struggle for scraps from their plates? I wonder then if God himself would feel any or all of these same things if he were you looking at that same beger? Or even more profound is the question, What if God himself were that beger looking up at you? what do you suppose the Omega might think or feel if that were so?
