The story is about two rival families. The hatred is brought about by the secret love affair between Joseph Walters, head of the first family and Celestine Stocks, sister to the second family's wife. This goes on even after several attempts to stop them. This love affair brings more harm, distress and hatred among these two families but later thrives to a better, stronger and long lasting love relationship between their kids.
