After a catastrophic global nuclear war, remnants of the human civilization picks up the pieces and painfully, slowly heal the Earth from the terrible effects of the most destructive conflict in history. A group of scientists and engineers, remotely operating drone explorer spacecraft discovers a catalyst in the Oort cloud that could be injected in Mars thin atmosphere and activate a process that may restart the planet's electromagnetic field.

In the near future, while Earth is torn by global conflagration, a group of scientists, engineers, and military officers work together to send the seeds of human life to Mars in a captured and modified NASA rocket ship with an AI to find ways to terraform the planet and make it suitable for life. But a computer virus was imbedded into the ship's system server some years ago by a criminal coder with intent on injecting a tyrannical AI ruler. Sgt. Roko of the special forces is entrusted in fighting the AI tyrant forces and install the AI antivirus to set Mars into the right course.

After a nuclear catastrophe, most of the world's, governments, or any that remained, were drained of resources and critical manpower lost their central power base and as a result lose grip and control of vast swaths of their populations and heads of states are just mere figureheads or none at all. Not that these mattered at all anyway. With raging firestorms all over the surface of the planet, there was little to govern effectively as Earth will be plunged into a long nuclear winter, the ozone layer destroyed and billions facing death by starvation and the effects of radiation. Most of the still surviving cities that escaped being bombed into oblivion precariously hang on as people with nowhere to go flock into them to try their luck. These dystopian cities, as what they had become out of necessity, are often ruled by gang leaders-local kings who hold sway over the hapless citizens who have no choice but to serve every whim of their warlord masters. As resources become scarce due to the lingering radiation and crop growing become extremely difficult, the city states turn into deadly citadels as kings wage war with each other in desperate food wars. Alliances naturally form to gain advantage and the strongest local monarchs increase their dominion. In the present political system, earth and humanity in the verge of collapse, and some scientists and men of reason start the painful steps to steer mankind into a right direction. But time is running out, in these dire circumstances, only a miracle will save civilization from total collapse.
