Vampires. Dr. Alexa Faberman always thought vampires were fodder for movies and books until one night in her midwestern hospital she meets some. He manages to get Alexa out of the compound along with Adeline. Now Alexa is running for her life with two vampires. She has to trust Raul to keep her safe and to learn to live off the grid. Trouble develops for Alexa in the form of attraction toward Raul. When he finally kisses her, Alexa falls for him, despite the fact he has an obsession with the taste of her blood.
