The Contract With The Condescending HeirUpdated at Oct 12, 2026, 07:17
Twenty-one years of being the invisible girl in my aunt's mansion. Twenty-one years of swallowing my sarcasm and keeping my head down. Then she kicks me out with a million dollars — pocket change compared to what she stole.
Now I have one chance to take it all back. Marry a stranger. A cold, arrogant CEO who looks at me like I'm a problem to solve.
Our first dates are disasters. He annoys me on purpose. I fire back with every snarky thought I've kept locked inside for years. And somehow, the more we fight, the harder it is to remember why I wanted him to stay away.
Then he steps between me and my aunt's slap at a gala. His eyes — those icy blue eyes — burn with something I've never seen before. He tells me he has loved me since we were children. That he never stopped.
Now he holds me like I'm made of gold and promises to help me destroy the woman who ruined my life.
But here's the question I can't stop asking myself:
What if the man I was forced to marry becomes the one I can't live without?
