The story begins in Narakapuri, a village governed by brutal, ancient laws enforced by the "Death Temple" of Goddess Rudra Kali Devi. Chandra, an innocent girl known as the "Daughter of the Soil," is victimized by Ashwanth, a charismatic outsider. He murders her parents, kidnaps her sister Diya, and frames Chandra for "immorality." After being tortured and scarred with acid by the fanatical villagers, Chandra commits ritual suicide in the temple’s Eternal Flame, uttering a blood-curdling curse to return and destroy the village and those who wronged her.​Fifteen years later, Chandra has returned as Chandra Mohini, a vengeful wraith. She has sacrificed 90 men to feed an Asura (demon) growing in her "demon womb." To birth this apocalypse, she needs a 108th sacrifice: a man of "pure heart" with a ringed birthmark—Ashwanth’s son, the rockstar Abhishek Oberon.
