The forbidden magic
Updated at May 13, 2025, 12:32
In a world where magic was a real and powerful force, a young apprentice named Elian stumbled upon a mysterious ancient tome hidden deep within the library's dusty shelves. It was a red book with the label history of magic . As Elian carefully opened the cover, the musty smell of aged parchment wafted out, and the pages crackled with a soft, golden light that seemed to emanate from the text itself, illuminating the words "Forbidden Knowledge" on the first page. Elian was so immersed in the book that he didn't hear someone call his name in the courtyard The voice, now slightly louder and more insistent, belonged to Elian's best friend, Lyra, who had been searching for him everywhere, and was starting to get worried, as the sun was already setting over the castle walls, casting long shadows across the courtyard. Elian quickly came back from his daze and hid the book in his clothing preparing to read it another time.He dashed out and ran towards the voice As he emerged from the doorway, Lyra's worried expression transformed into a relieved smile, and she rushed towards Elian, nearly colliding with him in her enthusiasm, exclaiming, "Where have you been? Master Orion has been looking everywhere for you - you're supposed to meet him in the East Tower for your magical proficiency test!" Oh that's right! I'm so sorry about that Lyra.He ran towards the East tower and found a young looking man with a slight smirk on his face. Master Orion's piercing blue eyes sparkled with amusement as he nodded at Elian's flustered arrival, his smirk widening into a hint of a smile, and he said, in a voice that was both melodious and commanding, "Ah, Elian, I see you're as punctual as ever. Shall we proceed with the test, or would you like a moment to... compose yourself?" Elian clears his throat and nodded his head.Soon they got started with the test. With a wave of his hand, Master Orion conjured a small, glowing orb that hovered in the air between them, and he instructed Elian to demonstrate his magical control by making the orb change color, shape, and size, all while maintaining a steady, pulsing glow, a task that required great focus, precision, and magical prowess. Elian stared in amusement, focused his eyes and pointing his hand directly at the orb but then the orb didn't change its color and he gave up.Mr Orion walked up to him with a smile "don't worry boy,you will get in no time,in the meantime let's take a stroll around the courtyard As they walked, Master Orion's smile never wavered, and he placed a reassuring hand on Elian's shoulder, saying, "Your magical abilities are still raw, but I sense great potential within you. Tell me, Elian, what do you think is holding you back from mastering your magic?" He paused, gazing out at the courtyard, where Lyra was watching them from a distance, a look of concern etched on her face. "I guess it's my lack of concentration!" Hmmm, would you mind telling me what had taken up your mind?" Elian had been thinking about the book he saw and decided to share it with Master Orion. But his decision might land them all in trouble
