Everyone at school knows Melody Plum is the smartest, best-behaved girl at Sacred Heart. She's kind, quiet, and liked by both students and teachers. Everyone thinks she should be dating Charlie Davenport, a boy she has known all her life, because they would make such a "cute couple." But Melody doesn't feel that way for Charlie. Benjamin Davenport is everyone's favorite teacher and all the girls have a crush on him. He is gorgeous, well-dressed, really smart, and has the sexiest voice and British accent. Even some of the women teachers are in love with him, but he chooses to ignore them because he's happily married and has four children who also attend the school. Everyone thinks he has the most perfect family in town. What no one knows is that Melody has been in love with him for years, even though he's more than twice her age and the father of her closest friend in the world. She has never dreamed he would ever see her as a woman and accepts that she will be never be anything else to him but the best friend of his son. At least that's what she thinks. But Mr. Davenport has a secret, too. He has watched Melody grow up into a beautiful young woman over the years and what he is feeling for her now is decidedly not paternal... (Hi guys, I'm so sorry for the lack of updates. I'm swamped with work [I edit full-time as a living] and I have my baby girl. I barely have the mental capacity to process anything at the end of the day these days. Hopefully, I'll have some time soon. I really appreciate you guys.)

His Brother's Wife
Updated at Jun 2, 2022, 08:13
"Sam?" Rory saw the tall, lean figure standing across the dimly lit living room, framed by the large bay window which showcased the lightning that intermittently flashed across the inky black horizon. The subsequent thunder that joined it rattled the walls of the house and made her jump. It couldn't be Sam. Sam was in a coma and far away from her. Sam was never getting up from that hospital bed ever again. "Sam?" Her heart uttered the plea and the result came out of her mouth. "Is that--" The masculine form at the window froze, then turned around to face her. A lightning bolt that streaked across the sky revealed his features. “Aurora, what are you doing up?” Rory clutched her robe at the neck and had to brace herself against the back of the sofa because her knees could no longer support her. “Jim. Oh, Jim, it’s just you.” His eyebrows knotted together in concern, then he strode across the room to get to her side. He gathered her in his arms and held her to him for a moment before pulling away and peering at her face. “Aurora, are you all right? I’m not Jim. I’m Sam.” ________ Jim Kelly was a brilliant musician who led a Grammy-award winning band ten years ago. Now he lives with his older brother and his loving wife in the suburbs of Calabasas, fresh out of rehab, and with an ankle monitor he is required to wear for six months. His brother Sam's wife Rory is beautiful, kind, and nurturing, just the kind of woman Jim has always dreamed about. But when he and Sam get into a serious car accident, only Jim walks away relatively intact. Rory brings him home and they try to get on with their lives together until Jim starts acting like Sam. Rory knows it's wrong to use her brother-in-law as a substitute for her husband, but with him around, it's like Sam never left. Who actually survived the accident: Jim or Sam?

Helen Chang moves into a college town in Massachusetts with her young son for a new life away from her abusive ex-husband. Due to financial difficulties and desperate circumstances, she accepts a job as a caretaker of an old house that offers free lodging. Before too long, she and her son begin to experience unusual activity in the house: strange noises in the middle of the night, doors opening and closing by themselves, items disappearing and reappearing somewhere else, and shadowy figures hovering in the corner of her eyes. When her son disappears, she's convinced he's still in the house somewhere because the house has taken him. When no one believes her, Helen seeks the help of a paranormal researcher who works at the local university. Dr. David Strand has made a career of disproving so-called paranormal events and exposing fake psychics. He knows they are fake because he himself is a true psychic, though he is reluctant to admit it to himself. He decides to help her because he knows her grief: his wife and daughter also disappeared ten years ago under unusual circumstances. David believes if he helps the woman, he'd be able to find his own wife and daughter, or at least find out what happened to them. But as Helen and David dig deeper into the secrets of the house, they discover that a much darker force wants to consume them both... and it's hungry for more.
