In sixteenth-century England, Chris, a young cotton merchant, bought a severely injured merman. His name is Samuel, a possessive and wild creature, mysterious, tyrannical, but also incredibly handsome and innocent. He is everything but HUMAN. The story is about a forbidden love between his 'prey' and his 'property', affection and suspicions, and those plots and intrigues in the darkness.
