The story centers on Vivara, a young woman from an average family, and Killian, her longtime lover. Vivara sacrifices her dreams to build a future with Killian, and together they cultivate a large cocoa farm, planning to establish a coffee export company in the future. Their ten year relationship seems stable until Killian travels on his first business trip, where he cheats and impregnates another woman.
