Immortality.
Kings, Queens, even beggars, they all want it. Because life is equivalent to power, and power makes one invincible.
In this world where you can either be a wolf or a sheep, wont you prefer to be the hunter instead of the one being hunted? wont you prefer to eat instead of being eaten?
700 years ago, when all were ruled by royals, and royals alone. A poor innocent soul was given a powerful gift that would make even the most vicious of Kings bow before her. A gift so terrifying that even Satan himself kept it hidden in the deepest parts of hell until a mischievous devil fell in love with a beautiful human.
Their forbidden love gave birth to a new creature that would make all the royalties crumble and cling on to their dear lives, a creature that feeds on human blood and posseses eternal life.
A creature that would be the start of the lineage called, Vampires.
But unlike what the folklores said, Vampires can definitely reproduce, if a male and female Vampire get pregnant, their child would be a Vampire since birth and would only age up to 28 years old.
But if a human and a Vampire get pregnant, their child would be a lot different. A creature that isnt a Vampire or a human. They will age like a normal being does, and they can be killed, however, their bodies wont decompose. It would remain supple and fresh even if eternities pass. And thats the hard part of it, because they can neither enter heaven nor hell, they would just remain here, stuck in the middle, wandering aimlessly.
And that's who I am. A half vampire who died 500 years ago, and was mysteriously resurrected in the 21st century.
