She remembers a life she never lived. Almost as if through the eyes of another, she saw the terrible end that every person faced at the hands of one man. If this had been a story, the man would have been a villain and he would’ve won. They all die in the end and he wins.But she knows now. And she has to make a choice. Because every one of them will have their own consequences.

HEART has been setting stories straight for so long that no one knows when it started. For operatives, making sure the story doesn’t go off course is easy. But when one of the Overseers is arrested for a crime his operatives don’t think he committed, they too are punished and sent into story worlds to fix them. The missions were easy. Fixing everything was supposed to be a piece of cake. But things keep getting worse and none of the operatives know if they can prove their Overseers innocence. Or theirs.

Alinani just wants to get through school and graduate. She's done well so far. Drenching sparks to make sure they didn't turn into fires. Wearing comfy clothes so they'd ignore her. Avoiding social events because that's where romance starts. But she might just be dragged into something that even she didn't see coming. Maybe a potato like her just found the perfect vegetable to be served with.
