Iris came from a upper class family. Her parents had stable jobs and were model citizens. So when the goverment started removing people from their homes and putting them into labor camps when they couldn't keep up with their expenses, Iris was least worried about her own family. That all changed when she heard her families names being called on the radio for the next group of families to be sent to the camps. Iris is able to escape and is scared and alone until she stumbles upon a group of people in the same situation as her. Falling in love was the last thing she expected to happen while on the run from the government.
