Candice finds a mysterious "other realm" through the attic door in her new home. She grew up with a "not so nice" family and the first chance she had to move away, she took it. Upon finding a new home thousands of miles from her abusive family, she decides to explore her home before getting settled. She happens upon a mysterious door that has been blocked off in the attic. She manages to pry the door open. Once the door is open she looks in only to see a small room with an old dusty bed, a small window with little moonlight showing through, and an old dresser with a small picture frame on it. As she enters the room, she discovers the picture frame has a photo of someone who is eerily similar to herself. While looking through the dresser she notices the room has lightened up more than it should have. When she looks to the window, she realizes the sun is rising. Candice decides to go to bed for a few hours since she stayed up all night, unknowingly. After napping for a few hours, Candice gets ready for her day in her new home. She decides to go walk the town and see what it has to offer. Once she gets to town square Candice happens upon a small book store with a "hiring" sign in the window. Candice enters the book store and asks for the manager. Before she even has a chance to ask for an application, Cameron, the store keeper, asks her if she can catalog and run a cash register. She answers that she can and Cameron hires her on the spot. Although Candice thought it strange to get hired without filing the proper papers, she was happy to have the work. After a productive afternoon, Candice returned home to call it a night. After returning home, she decided to go to bed. When Candice awoke next, it was still dark. Upon noticing this, she checked her phone to see a text from the store owner from 2 hours prior. While looking at her phone she saw the date was the same as the day she moved in. How was this possible? It couldn't be possible... Thinking there may be a problem with her phone, Candice laid back down and went back to sleep until sunrise. Once she awoke in the morning, she went about her normal morning routine, minus the yelling and fighting. After dressing, Candice makes herself some coffee and enjoys the peaceful morning by herself. Since the bookstore owner didn't need her until the end of the week, she decided to explore today and tomorrow she would get the house completely settled. While exploring the town some more, she noticed things didn't quite add up to the way it was yesterday. Candice went to look into the book store to understand the layout. Once in the area, she was unable to find it. In the place she thought it was, there was a coffee shop instead. That was strange. She was sure this was the place. Candice decides to message Cameron back and asked him for the address so she knew where it was. A couple hours later and no reply, Candice went back home for some dinner. When she entered her home her phone buzzed. She looked to see Cameron had texted back the address. The thing is that address was showing the coffee shop she saw earlier. The next day Candice, still ignoring the weird situation from the day before, decided to continue with organizing her home. After a long day of organization, Candice couldn't get that room off her mind. She went up to the room and it was eerily still and the moonlight showing through was nearly the same level it was the other night when she went in. As she entered she looked to the photo that looked like her. She was still so confused by the photo. As far as she knew her family has lived in the same area for hundreds of years. Yet here is this person who looks just like her, thousands of miles from where her family is. Again it seems as if only a few mins has passed, yet the sun is showing through the window already.
