Between the thorny shrubs, like a drenched chick seeking comfort, I lie in a bed of misery. Soaked in a pool of tears and choked by the thorns of pain, my agony slowly streams down my face. I'd rather retreat into my shell...though dark and cruelly consuming, it's the only comfort I have left. I'm never poking my head out again...NEVER! I searched everywhere; I truly did check, but it was all lies! The stories I read, the books I bought, the tales Grandma told—lies, BLOODY LIES! There's no such thing as a happy ending. Everything ends in the book and nothing more. Fairy tales don't exist! It's all just a crafted story...the world that pathetic people like me wish they could have. WHY? CAN YOU JUST LET ME BREATHE? I've fought enough...is this not enough blood for this cruel world to feed on? No one sees my pain; they never cared in the first place, and so they're drawn in by the facade. Do I always have to smile even when I'm broken? Do I always have to smile even when I'm overlooked? Why do I have to put on a forced smile even in places where I'm unwanted? WHY? I just want to live a simple and successful life. Why am I being the target? LET EVERYTHING JUST FADE AWAY! In a world where cruelty is the currency, lives a bright young lady with so much ambition and vigour. Like a bright beam of lift in thick darkness, she lights up her world. Growing on with so many expectations and adventurous ideas, she never expected the real world to be different from the world she saw in movies and read in books. However, slowly, she began to realize how different and dark the actual world is and her smiles faded. Her dreams and passion dying right before her eyes... Her bright eyes gradually turning dim as tears cloud them both. Even her heart was not spared but stabbed over and over. The ray of hope disappearing into the background. She collapses___broken and fettered She slowly began to adjust to the cruelty of life but she just couldn't adapt. It's all damaging her and she's forced to bend. HOWEVER, AMIDST THIS BROKEN AND DARK WORLD, IS A BEAM OF LIGHT WAITING TO BE DISCOVERED. ONCE DISCOVERED, IS CAPABLE OF SUCKING UP ALL THE DARKNESS BUT SOMEONE HAS TO FIND IT FIRST! THE PROBABILITY OF HER FINDING IT IS VERY LOW BUT LET'S HOPE SHE WOULD.. YES? OR MAYBE NOT? WELL, LET'S FIND OUT FROM THE BOOK ITSELF Grab your popcorn, your coke, and let's enjoy🤩✌️😚
