Elizabeth Miller, executive assistant to the CEO of Donovan Industrial, Sebastian Donovan. She loathes the job and him but stays so she can pay off the debts left by her father and take care of her family. When Sebastian makes her an offer to marry him for a year and in exchange he’ll take care of the loans and provide security for her family, she reluctantly agrees. They fake a relationship for a month, much to the disbelief of everyone around them, get married and move in together. Throughout it all, they begin to have feelings for each and also face cynicism and outright hostility from his ex-girlfriend, her sister, employees of the company and others. A month to the end of their arrangement, it’s revealed that Sebastian only married her because of a clause his grandfather put forth so he could become President of the Conglomerate which causes even more outrage and a rift between them. During this time Sebastian discovers why his grandfather insisted he should marry her and tries hard to get her back. Elizabeth agrees to give him a second chance and they get back together. He then proposes an actual marriage which she agrees to. They have a large ceremony minutes before which Elizabeth reveals to him that she’s pregnant. Then, an epilogue follows set two years later to show Elizabeth and Sebastian living happily with their daughter.
