...' Call it wishful thinking, princess, to ever dream of running from me. '
Adele Hawthorne, seventh daughter of the King of Adeland, a country that had joined Arcasia, is sent out one night to journey to the Emperor's castle to seek help , when their lands had been attacked by rogues.
Appearing to look like a peasant, no one believes she truly was a daughter of the King of Adeland. After many failed attempts to get into the castle, she turned to her father's acquaintance, the Duke of Grandworth for help. Unfortunately, he was no longer the Duke and had left for a distant land, but rather, his son whom no one dared cross paths with offers to help her and in return, she had to be his page.

"Page?," Adele blurted out in disbelief, her eyes blinking a few times to make sure she heard right. Did she appear that desperate? To fill a role of a man?.
Indeed, she looked desperate with how unkempt her appearance was but wasn't willing to take it to the next level. She'd rather find help from someone else rather than listen to suggestions from this crazy man. She didn't have time to spare on her side but this man was making it a point to waste it.
It really was true that the wires of the new Duke were jumbled up. Crazy wouldn't be enough a word to fit him!.
Adele touched her forehead and took deep breaths, hand on her waist.
The man looked at her, obviously amused, with an evil smirk that played with his sinful lips.
"But I'm not a ma-." Before she could point out facts to him, he cut her.
"Now, princess," His husky voice echoed in the confines of the room, bouncing back to her ears. " Does it look like I'm interested in men?."
