My roots are from both the north and south. I was born in south Louisiana where my mother is from. I lived a majority of my childhood in Michigan's upper peninsula near my father's side until my father passed and we moved back to Louisiana. I have 3 beautiful children and a loving and supportive husband. My stories are a mixture of my backgrounds. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy imagining them.

Updated at Jun 11, 2026, 07:26
Magnolia Bourgeois, a 17-year-old student in her senior year of high school, has her future planned out to escape her mundane life in her small Louisiana town. These plans fade in and out every time she gets a glimpse of Everett Landry, the high school quarterback that looks too good to be true. Even with Everett's cold eyes and attitude towards her, she can't understand the magnetism she feels when she is near him. Her mother tells her to stay far away from him and his recluse family, when her mother noticed one day, the silent glances Magnolia was taking of Evertt. As Nola works on her final project on the history of Assumption Parish, she uncovers a past of dark secrets from deep within the swamps of Assumption Parish. Why does Nola's mom have bad blood with the Landry family? Is there a secret she doesn't know about her family? What will come out of the Bayou?
