All Lex wants to do is draw her comic strip and roller skate. She wants to live a private, uncomplicated life because she’s an uncomplicated person; until Brian walks in with his messed up hair and strict persona ways and Lex falls. Emmy Caplan’s parents got divorced and her mother became addicted to drugs, so Em had to help raise her 10 year old sister because her father died in a car accident. Then devastation happened and her mother was murdered, forcing Em and her sister to move in with their Aunt. Ten years later, Em moves back to her hometown, graduated with a degree in Psychology and Social Work hoping to help the kids in the town where drugs run rampant. She runs into the cop, Jimmy, that helped her when her mother died. Little does she know that Jimmy has been in love with Em since high school and now that she’s back, nothing will stop him from being with her.
