Short for Alexandria and I’m a werewolf attending a university but my studies get put on pause.. “Papers are due Thursday by 12:00 pm” the professor said loudly as everyone in the room filed out the doors. “ALEX!!” Good goddess who could be yelling for me now as I turned around to only see Sophie running towards me. “Thank goodness you stopped I wasn’t about to chase you through the entire campus” she chucked out, “what is it you didn’t feel like chasing me down for anyways?” I said back playfully. “ So Alpha Max called a pack meeting.. Saturday afternoon, and since you never open your pack link mom told me to find you”. She said quietly. “And I have to go? Is there a problem that’s so bad I’m needed for a meeting that can be relayed back to me?” I said coldly.. Being the Betas daughter, I hated pack life and going to University was my ticket out for awhile without going rouge. Even though it was still near the packs borders. “ Yes the entire pack must be there Alex. Apparently another Alphas family is coming over for a treaty and wants to meet the entire pack.. apparently from what others have said his son is mateless”. “Oh great just another bs way for him to find a mate and Luna so he can step up am I right Soph?” We argued back in forth til I caved, I did miss my parents and wanted to see them anyways. “So when is this meeting again?” I asked reluctantly. “Saturday afternoon at 4”. She said with the goofiest smile. Goddess help me. Saturday morning I drove to my parents house and enjoyed the morning with them having small talk til Soph walked in and started dragging me to the room to get dressed. “Jeez woman why are we getting so fancy for this Alpha anyways” I groaned out. “Because what if you find your mate Alex? Is that such a bad thing?” She was right.. she had already found hers, her long time boyfriend Drew turned out to be her fated mate, and the packs next beta thanks to is being the Betas only pups, lucky her. But I didn’t mind not having one right away anyways, gave me a chance to go to school and see life outside of the pack. Before I knew it we were leaving for the pack house. When we arrived it was busy and bursting with the packs colors and the visiting pack colors, Blue and Whites for Blue Lake and Black and Silver for Silver Moon. “They sure want to make an impression don’t they?” I said laughing to my sister who only rolled her eyes. Moments later the Alpha started his speech and introduced the visiting Alpha and his son. “Let me now introduce to you Alpha Thorn Black and his son Jax of the Silver moon Pack” and the entire pack erupted with clapping and hollers.. but what I didn’t expect was Jax and I making eye contact and the sparks I felt from where I stood in the very back. “Mate” my wolf Ash whispered in my head. What. A mate? HERE?! HIM? “Yes you idiot, Him, walking towards you” she said smugly. “Hello, I’m Jax, Alpha Thorns son.. what is your name?”
