The Secret Billionaire and His Meteor Shower
Updated at Oct 24, 2024, 18:56
On the day I planned to propose, I arranged a luxurious meteor shower specifically for my girlfriend. However, she mocked me as a poor fool with nothing but sentimentality and left me to meet her online lover. Facing my questioning, she fiddled with the pink diamond on her finger and said with disdain, "Meteor shower? Who would accompany you to the mountains to feed mosquitoes in this awful weather?" "This pink diamond cost Taylor three million dollars at an auction. Look at him. Then look at yourself. Can you even take out fifty dollars from your pocket?" she said. I smiled without saying a word. She had no idea that this meteor shower cost eight hundred million dollars. As for my true identity, she didn't deserve to know.

The Flames of Retribution
Updated at Oct 23, 2024, 23:07
When I received Anthony's text message, I was at the hospital on an IV drip for acute gastroenteritis. The night before, his jealous girlfriend at the Hedon Club had made me chug drinks. "Bella wants to eat shaved ice with red beans from Segway. Bring it to Room 1808 at the Hedon." Anthony's voice on the phone was lazy and languid, mixed with a girl's sharp giggles. "I'm sick and on an IV drip." "If you're not dead, get your ass over here right now. Claire, I'm only saying this once. If I don't see you today, then don't ever show your face in front of me again." Anthony hung up the phone immediately after he finished speaking. Before the call ended, the last thing I heard was a sentence from the other side, "It's nice to have such an obedient dog. I envy you, Mr. Reed." I lowered the phone, a sigh escaping my lips as the date on the screen registered. I looked up at the IV bag that had just been hung up. Ignoring the nurse's gasps, I yanked out the needle.
