The word 'Islam is a religion of peace' is very true and real. The naming of our religion Islam comes from the words salam and salam i.e. peace. Salam is the identity and symbol of this religion. Peace is its call and way. This is the religion of peace which Allah has chosen for His servants. ‘Today I have perfected your religion for you, completed My obligation to you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.’ [Surah Al-Maidah: 03]
