I started writing in college in my 30s, and the creative writing teacher told us what we needed to write. I had fun with my topic, "A secret base in a lake." I turned it into a secret time travel facility under Lake Michigan where the employees are called Temporal Researchers. In that class, I ended up writing a 20-page or so final paper, all about my story, and the teacher refused to give it back. She liked it. Fast forward 10 years, and I found a copy in a box, started writing it, and it turned into a 7 novel series called THE ARCHIVES. Nowadays, I have been writing shorter books. Mountain Life is book one in the Brigit Markz series (trilogy, actually), and books one and two are completed, but book three is still partially in my head. At the moment, I have written and self-published more than 36 books in science fiction (mostly) and camping, survival, and my profession (writing does NOT pay the rent), EDI, or electronic Data Interchange.
