Sarah, known as the devil's dog, grew up the daughter of the lord in a quiet little God-fearing town. Ever since she was attacked by a demon in the woods as a child she would turn into a raving snarling beast during the days leading up to the full moon and on the night of her bones would snap and rearrange until her inner beast was released and a wolf would stand where a girl had once been. During those nights she would be chained up in the woods and left to largely fend for herself, only to be released when she returned to her normal state. This went on for years, the townspeople and priests always finding subtle ways to provoke her under the guise of doing God's work, chaining her up when the demons took hold of her, trying to exercise the devil from her whenever she was free of the shackles on the woods. It wasn't until a strange ship pulled up to their shore and an even stranger man called Halvar stepped into her life that she learned the larger truth of what she was and the power she held.
