I could feel my heart beating loudly in my ears as I raced through the thick woods. Branches hit me, twigs snapped at my face as I ran making sure never to look back. How things had gone so upside down from a simple flight was something I still couldn't understand. I had watched over eleven people go lifeless in a matter of two days. And all for what?!, a specimen I still had absolutely no idea about. Life could not possibly be more cruel. A twig snapped to my right and my heart dropped to my stomach. Did they catch up to me?. 'heave' 'heave', my chest protested for lack of air so I slowed to stop to catch my breadth.Another twig snapped and I turned to look at it so quickly, I thought my head might go off. There it was standing in the shadows, blood dripping down its face.......no, her face.
