Elena Vance is just an ordinary art student whose life is strictly controlled by her family. Her life changes completely overnight when she is kidnapped by Nikolay Volkov, a young businessman and the most feared, cold-blooded mafia boss. Trapped in the Volkov clan’s opulent mansion, a place rife with intimidation and danger. Elena is forced to survive amidst chains and the close scrutiny of the underworld. Behind this kidnapping, Nikol uses Elena as a tool for revenge against Tristan Vance, Elena’s older brother and Nikol’s former best friend, who stole his fiancée, Valerie, and destroyed his business assets. For the mafia boss, Elena is Tristan’s most valuable weak point one he must destroy. However, the intrigue intensifies when a dark secret of the Vance clan, kept tightly hidden, begins to surface: Elena is, in fact, merely an adopted child and a valuable pawn in the family’s struggle for wealth and power. Amid the threat of all-out war between cartels, mafia power struggles, and a past rife with betrayal, Elena is determined to find a way out. Meanwhile, Nikol must face the fact that this headstrong captive is not just an ordinary hostage, but a dangerous obsession that is beginning to undermine his complete control over his power.
