Updated at Aug 31, 2026, 09:54
My Dead Husband Sent Me a Love Letter One year after her husband’s death, Emma has finally learned how to live with the silence. She has packed away his clothes. Deleted his number. Stopped expecting to hear his footsteps at the door. She visits his grave one last time, determined to leave the past behind. But when Emma returns home, she finds an envelope waiting on her kitchen table. There is no stamp. No address. Only her name written across the front in handwriting she could recognize anywhere. Emma. Her hands tremble as she opens it. Inside is a letter from the husband she watched die. My love, If you are reading this, then something has gone terribly wrong. Everyone will tell you that I am dead. Believe them. But don't believe the man who came to my funeral. Emma laughs at first. Then she reads the next line. “I know what you saw that night. I know you think I died in your arms. But the man you buried was not me.” Her world begins to fall apart. Who sent the letter? How could a dead man know what she remembers? And who was the stranger standing beside her at the funeral? As Emma searches for answers, more letters begin to appear. Each one reveals a secret her husband kept from her. A secret about their marriage. A secret about his family. A secret about the night he supposedly died. And then the letters reveal something even more terrifying: Someone has been watching Emma ever since her husband’s death. The closer she gets to the truth, the more dangerous her life becomes. People she trusted begin lying to her. Memories she thought were real start contradicting one another. And the man who claims to know everything about her husband may be the only person capable of protecting her. But there is one problem. Emma doesn't know whether she can trust him. Because the final letter contains only three words: “Don't love him.” Now Emma must uncover the truth about her husband’s death before the person behind the letters finds her. But what happens when the dead man she loved isn't really dead? What happens when the man she begins falling for knows more about her husband than he should? And what if the greatest betrayal isn't that her husband disappeared... but that he was never the man Emma thought she married? Some love stories end with death. Emma's is only beginning.
