The novel captures the story of a young African boy Mr. Ajayi Abiodun Adebanjo Jr. who was born during a civil war in Nigeria and how he managed to go through the hard times successfully making his way out of Nigeria to further chase his dreams in a foreign country. He encounters many difficulties but eventually emerges triumphant out of all of them.
