Eva's parents, Sophia and John Peterson a renowned journalist, "uncovered incriminating evidence" against Alexander cruiz (The nephew of the wealthiest family in the country who also has a multiple personality disorder) that led to the termination of hundreds of lives in a plane crash. They both made decisions to confront him(Alexander) to come clean about his deeds to the media and compensate the family of the victims or face the consequences of the evidence being sent to the press, in return Alexander agreed. To cover up his crimes, Alexander sent killers(who were officers of the law) to retrieve the evidence from the Peterson's possession and silence them. Eva who was present and hidden in the scene on her birthday was given a pendant containing a recorded item by her Mom, she watched her parents being murdered in cold blood and saw their killers face. she was saved by a stranger(Vincent) after the house was set ablaze (by the killers to conceal all evidence) and was rushed to the hospital. Eva ran out of the hospital in search of her parents, looking all disheveled and shocked from the aftermath of the torture she had went through at home. she wasn't even aware of the incoming vehicle and was badly hit and thrown off with a force that she landed hitting her head on a hard surface. after being rushed to the hospital again, she woke up with a memory loss and had no idea of what her name was or who she was. Mr and Mrs stone Eva's doctor, knew about her past and kept it away from her as they decided to adopt her, giving her a new name and a new identity. They all traveled abroad to work at the hospital's headquarters, in order to keep her safe. The aftermath of Eva's past left her scared of fire, as it brings severe headaches and fear she couldn't even comprehend. Ten years later Mrs Emma Stone and Linda returned back to Solaris on a work trip, as their specialty was urgently needed at the hospital. Linda decided to take a walk for fresh air after she was done with her shift at the hospital, on her way she saw a little puppy walking across the road all alone, in an attempt to save it, unaware of an incoming vehicle and was almost hit. but with a quick intervention, the car came to a sudden stop, altering any damages to Linda and the little puppy all scrunched up she screamed in pain as the effect of the accident brought bits of her memories she couldn't place except for a "diamond pendant shaped in a C logo". The Man(Vincent) behind the wheel ran out of his car, concerned etched on is voice as he asked, "Miss are you okay?" Linda looked up, seeing the same necklace she just saw flashes of, a second ago worn by the man before her, she replied "have we met before?".
