I flew across the country to surprise my boyfriend. Instead, I watched him kiss another girl on live television. So, yeah. Not exactly the reunion I had pictured. Now I’m stranded in a city I’ve never been to, nursing a broken heart and wondering how badly this night can possibly get when Kai Sorensen walks into my life. My ex-boyfriend’s best friend, the elite Ridge’s hockey captain and, unfortunately, the most annoyingly attractive man I’ve ever met. When Kai offers me a place to stay, I should probably say no. Especially when his solution comes with one ridiculous condition which is that I pretend to be his girlfriend. Apparently, he needs a fake relationship. I need somewhere to live. That should be easy. Except Kai has rules. I have rules. And somehow, we keep breaking all of them. Living under the same roof with him is bad enough. Pretending to be in love with him while everyone watches is worse. Because the more time I spend with Kai, the harder it becomes to remember that this is supposed to be fake. And the biggest problem? I’m starting to wonder if he is.
