The recent loss of 16 year old Veronica or Onica's patents has landed her in a convent/youth home for orphaned girls. She would be content to wait it out until her 18th birthday but now, facing an unwanted adoption by a very wealthy and well known man, she knows running away is her only option to escape a life of torture. In her efforts to gain her freedom she meets a man named Mac, a rough, no nonsense truck driver. Now the unlikely pair will have to navigate a world gone crazy over night.
