Worrals has an idea of using a remote plateau in the Cevennes in Central France as a landing ground to refuel fighters on their way to Malta. She and Frecks parachute into France and into another adventure with old friends and old enemies.

Worrals has a mission to accomplish in France under the very nose of the Gestapo, and she carries it off with a courage, resource, and dash that rivals Biggles' own. Although published in book form second, this is actually the third in the Worrals series (the second, Worrals Carries On, originally appeared as a magazine serial in 1941-42.)
