ABOUTquote
My name is Sika Osei, and I am a Ghanaian writer with a deep love for stories, emotions and the little details of human experiences that often go unnoticed. I have always been fascinated by people, their relationships, the things they say, the things they keep to themselves and the experiences that shape who they become. I believe everyone has a story, and sometimes the most powerful ones are hidden behind ordinary conversations, familiar faces and seemingly perfect lives. Writing, for me, is more than putting words together. It is a way of exploring emotions, expressing thoughts and bringing imagined experiences to life. I enjoy creating stories that make people feel something, question things, connect with characters and perhaps even see parts of themselves in the pages they read. I am particularly drawn to romance, family dynamics, emotional conflicts, secrets, healing and the complexities of human relationships. I love writing characters who feel real, who make mistakes, struggle with their choices and experience the beautiful and difficult sides of being human. Hidden Bonds is a reflection of that passion. It brings together some of the themes I find most interesting about life: love, sacrifice, family, identity, forgiveness and the consequences of the things we leave unsaid. I consider myself a growing writer, constantly learning, discovering my voice and finding new ways to tell stories. My hope is that my work will not only entertain readers but also touch something within them, stay with them long after the final page and remind them that even the most complicated human experiences deserve to be understood. I am excited about this journey and grateful for the opportunity to share my stories with the world.

HIDDEN BONDS

A mother’s secret. A brother’s resentment. A love that could shatter them all. At fifteen, Emily Miller was mastered by silence. In the wake of a devastating assault, her prominent, status obsessed parents gave her a choice; hide the pregnancy or lose her home. She chose the shadow, spent nine months in a wool-sweater armor, and eventually placed her newborn son into the hands of strangers. She thought the silence would protect him. She thought it would save her. She was wrong. Seven years later, Emily is a ghost in her own life, living on the fringes of the town that nearly broke her. She is drawn like a moth to a flame to the Johnson family, the warm, vibrant couple raising the son she never stopped loving. From her car window, she watches Leo grow, a silent guardian to a miracle she authored but cannot read. But the orbit of the Johnsons pulls her closer than she ever intended. When she meets Alex, the Johnsons' eldest adopted son, the connection is electric, immediate, and utterly forbidden. Alex is the "golden boy", a star athlete and aspiring architect who hides his own scars beneath a veneer of perfection. He resents the toddler who "disrupted" his family, and he has no idea that the woman he is falling for is the biological mother of the child he begrudges. As their worlds collide, Emily finds herself trapped in a devastating web of her own making. To love Alex is to betray her secret. To claim her son is to lose the only man who truly sees her. In a town built on secrets and a house built on lies, the truth isn't just a revelation, it’s a wrecking ball. Hidden Bonds is a sweeping, 600-page journey through the jagged terrain of trauma, the complexity of adoption, and the fierce, unbreakable threads that connect us. How far would you go to protect a child who doesn't know your name? And what happens when the only person who can heal your heart is the one person you’re destined to destroy?
