ALexis Porter has been 23 since 1950 and she has no idea why. As the world's first real life immortal there isn't much to go on besides her gut and a vicious talent for avoiding cameras. Still, ALex wants some answers to her crazy world. A reaper however, wasn't exactly what the girl had in mind. When a hooded man with a sickly grin and deathly pale skin shows at Alex's apartment door with a scythe in hand and introduces himself as Death, Alex is a little more than terrified. But, that becomes nothing compared to the proposition she is given; Follow Death down to the underworld and claim a spot as a reaper of Hades by ancient trial, or suffer an agonizing existence in the river Acheron for her death defying crimes against the gods.  Alex accepts the former and enters into a world of Greek myth and legend come to life. Thrust head first into a court of monsters, she comes across an ancient secret, and a warning that this New Yoker may have bit of more than she could chew.
