New Beginnings

Prom was tomorrow and I still needed to make some finishing adjustments to the dress Lazarus picked out. The colors were red and black, which was mine and his favorite colors.

"Hey Lazarus Babe,can we go to the mall after school so i can pick out some hair dye and shoes for tomorrow," I asked because i wanted to dye my hair for the prom because i had this dream that something wonderful was going to happen at the crowning of the prom king and queen.

Its been a week since i learned of my real parents and of what i am becoming. I'm still a little shocked that the one thing i dreamed of being is actually coming true especially knowing Lazarus is one too.

"Yea we can go after school just no buying anymore jewelry because i got something special to give you if you win prom queen," He said as i looked a bit confused and also excited.

"Ok babe i promise,no more jewelry," I said giving him a kiss on the cheek as we got up from the lunch table to head to our last class before the pep rally which luckily it gets me out of p.e because today is when we run laps and do the harder excersis for training in case the wolves decide to attack and break some treaty the elders have in place but luckily for me and Lazarus we wont have to worry about the training after graduation seeing as we wont be here.

Time flew by quick and by time i knew it the bell had rung to release us for the pep rally so once it rang i bolted for the door to look for Lazarus and the rest of the crew.

"Well lets see what the pep rally is gonna be like this time," said Lazarus with a chuckle because our pep rally are never normal being as our school is filled with witches and other supernatural creatures learning to function in the human world so yea our pep rally are definitely out of this world for sure.

"Don't forget that the art class done something special for Halloween and the pep rally so trust me babe its gonna be awesome," i said as i gave him a big smile seeing as me and Raylin was in the art class and the subject was triple goddess.

"I know Babe" he said with a smile and of course i smiled back at him.

Mr.Eliphas our principle walked up to the podium & the whole auditorium got quiet.

"Ok students settle down,we are gonna have the art students come down and show off their art they made for today's pep rally,"Mr.Eliphas said as me and Raylin headed down along with the other art students to the stage and stood beside our pieces we submitted.

My Piece was of triple Goddesses surrounded by all their symbols and Raylins was of them doing each of their duties as goddesses which i really liked because it captured them beautifully.

The auditorium remained quiet after the last student stood next to their piece’s and waited patiently for the principle to say what was gonna happen next.

“Ok now we are gonna have each student show of their art work for this years theme,the one with the most likes by the end of the week will be the piece on display for the rest of the school year”Mr.Eliphas said as one by one each student began discussing their reason for drawing what they did,after a few minutes it was my turn after Raylin finished discussing hers.

“The triple moon goddess is a divine feminine entity in our culture as it is depicted in three aspects: the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone and these symbolize the phrases of a woman’s life along with the moon phase’s...i was pulled to draw this depiction of the three being that i am the maiden,my mother is well the mother and her mother is the crone is this scenario” I said calmly with no nervousness thanks to years of being the center of attention at certain parties thrown by the elders to keep up appearances despite what i really am.

Once i was done we was told to return to our seats and was told that there would be a box for the school to vote on which piece would hang up in the entrance of the school by the office for the rest of the year.

As the principle continued talking about the upcoming Samhain celebration i began felt the tattoo that appeared on my right arm yesterday started to burn a little as i looked to Lazarus for help because i still don't understand everything that was happening to me now that this tattoo appeared.

“you ok babe”Lazarus said as he saw me holding the spot the tattoo was and saw me trying to not show how much pain i was in from it right now.

“No,the tattoo feels like its burning me”I said trying to remain calm.

“We need to get you to Mr.Blackstone as soon as possible,the tattoo shouldn't be doing this this soon after appearing on you”he said low the asked Mrs.Selene if we could be excused because i wasn't feeling so good which she gladly let us leave the pep rally and as soon as we left the auditorium we went straight to Mr.Blackstones classroom where he was luckily.

As soon as he saw us and the way i was holding my right arm he ushered us into his classroom immediately shutting and locking the door behind us then leading me to a chair for me to sit in as i continued holding the tattoo.

“what happened”Blackstone asked with urgency.

“We was sitting in the auditorium after i just got done showing my art piece for this years festival theme when the tattoo started burning while the principle was talking”i said trying to remain calm despite the searing pain coursing through my body now as i looked to Lazarus a little scared now.

“Hmmmm this shouldn't be happening especially since she just got the tattoo yesterday”Blackstone said with carefulness as he carefully grabbed my wrist to examine the tattoo as it began to faintly glow now which for some reason made Lazuras tattoo to faintly glow too.

“Do you feel anything else besides the burning feeling”Blackstone asked.

“I....i feel a little light headed and feel really tired”i said as the urge to fall asleep suddenly hit me as i also felt my breathing slow down some.

“Ok you need to listen to me Lexy,i need you to try to stay awake as best as you can”he said as he then whispered something to Lazarus as he went to Blackstones desk to fetch some sort of stone and placed it over the tattoo which for some reason made the burning pain go away but just left me more exhausted as i fought so hard to stay awake like he asked.

“Wh....what is that and how did it make the pain go away”i asked exhausted as Lazarus pulled the stone away from the tattoo and put it in what looked like moon water to cleanse it.

“That was Labradorite that was charged under this past full moon,i used it to withdraw the negative energy the tattoo was collecting from those around you hence why your arm felt like it was burning because thats one way the negative energy tries to seep into your magic especially since your vampire side was trying to feed off that negative energy which your magic isnt use to yet”He said as he reached for a black water bottle handing it to me for me to drink.

“Dont worry its just some herbal tea to help calm both sides,you wont need to drink blood until after graduation hopefully”he said being reassuring as i opened the water bottle and drank some of the tea already feeling better and more calm with each sip of the tea.

“I....i feel a little better now but still exhausted some”i said still sipping the tea.

“Thats normal,Lazarus why dont you text Astaroth and you two take Lexy home so she can rest but i want you to stay with her to make sure the tattoo doesn't have any other surprise's suddenly appear”He said as Lazarus done what he was asked and texted Astaroth who arrived two minutes later.

Lazarus picked me up and carried me to his car while Astaroth remained behind him until we reached the vehicle as Lazuras sat in the back with me while Astaroth got in the drivers seat and began driving us to my house as i slowly drifted off to sleep with my head in Lazarus lap.

I awoke to Lazarus carrying me to my bedroom and he carefully laid me in my bed as he slowly took off my boots.

“Dont leave me alone,please babe,”I said softly as i was scared to be alone right now after everything that happened this past week.

“Sure babe,i’ll stay as long as you need me to im sure your parents wont mind,”He said calmly as he laid on the bed pulling me into his arm as i laid my head on his chest with the sound of his faint heartbeat lulled me back to sleep.

Throughout the night i tossed and turned with images of me fangs bared drinking from some guy i couldnt make out who it was as we was in a candlit room on a bed with red silk sheets as it seemed we was intimate with each other when his hands started running all over my body which jotled me awake for some reason as i tried to catch my breath as i looked over to see Lazarus sound asleep with his arm drapped over my waist as i turned my head to look at the clock to see it was only three in the morning.

“what the f**k was that dream about and who was that guy,”I whispered to myself as i slowly extracted myself from under Lazarus arm and made my way to the bathroom to splash some water on my face as i shut the door quietly behind me.

“What is happening to me,i never had a dream like that before.....could,could it be the tattoo or my subconscious trying to tell me something i dont understand yet,”I whispered as i looked at myself in the mirror which just showed myself but slowly my brain started warping my reflections into that of a blood thirsty killer staring back at me.

“No thats not me,thats not who i will become.......is it,”I asked the reflection which actually spoke back to me.

“I am you well the side of you that will soon be free to allow you to indulge in things you secretly dream of doing even if you are to scared to admit it,like how you wish Lazarus would have his way with you,”The reflection said with a fanged grin.

“I.....i dont think about that do i,i.....i love him and only when we are both ready is when that will happen,”I said slowly second guessing myself as i spoke low to the reflection.

“Sure and when will that be when your a blood sucker who will be a slave to those intense urges of desire that comes with feeding,”The reflection said which got me thinking about do i really wanna be a virgin when i complete the transition after graduation.

“No i.....i wont fall for your tricks and lies,”I said raising my voice which i guess woke up Lazarus as i looked to the door then back to the mirror seeing my normal reflection again as i splashed some more water onto my face then left the bathroom.

“Mmmm is everything ok babe,”He asked sitting up in the bed.

“yea everythings fine,”I lied which i guess he could tell i was lying as his expression turned a little serious.

“Your lying to me aren’t you,you never lie so please dont make me ask again,”He said voice low completely serious now which made my heart race.

“Im telling the truth i promise,”i said calmly lying again which hurt me to lie to him but i dont want to worry him this early in the morning as i made my way to the bed sitting beside him now.

“I dont believe you babe your heart rate is betraying you,remember i can smell the shift in your emotions now,”He said fully serious now as he grabbed my wrist pulling me closer to him which scared me but also excited me for some reason.

“Fine i was lying ok there happy now,”I said a little defensively as i looked away from him slightly scared to meet his gaze as i spoke again.

“I....i had a dream that scared me and made me feel weird but also conflicted,”I said low

“A dream huh what kind of dream,”He asked more soflty now

“I......I dreamt i was feeding on someone while being........intimate with them,”I said low now blushing from embarrassment as i continued to avert his gaze.

I looked at him then the conversation with my reflection replayed in my head as i thought to myself about do i really want to wait till after highschool with my transition into being a royal creature of the night looming closer and everything becomes heightened and out of control with who knows how long till i regain my control back.

He smiled a soft smile.

“Ok then we will continue and dont worry i have protection,”He said softly as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a condom which he set down on my side dresser then pulled me into his lap and began kissing me again a little rougher this time which i eagerly returned with the same amount of roughness.

“You get some rest,i need to head home but ill meet you at school ok,”He said softly leaning down to kiss me on the forehead before heading to the bedroom door and leaving as i slowly drifted off to sleep with a smile on my face.
