An unexpected encounter
Alondra never knew when she got herself into this mess. To be honest, I had no idea how I ended up here, standing in front of a closed door in the hallway of a luxurious hotel in the city.
My hands trembled slightly, and the air conditioning was so cold that I felt a knot in my stomach.
It had all started as a simple assignment. The modeling agency I worked for had called me at the last minute.
“An important client wants your presence. Everything is arranged.” Nothing they told me seemed suspicious at the time.
The elevator had taken me up to the private suites floor, where the golden door opened, revealing the luxurious room, bigger than my apartment.
Inside, there were dim lights and soft piano music floating in the air. However, something didn’t feel right.
The lights in the room flickered between off and on, as if someone was waiting for something. Or someone.
I stood by the door for a few seconds, listening. Nothing.
Only the warm light of the lamp illuminated part of the room. Then, as if everything were part of some perfectly executed plan, a figure moved in the shadows.
“You’re here.” The deep male voice startled me.
I turned, and I saw him: a tall man with an imposing presence. His dark eyes watched me from the corner of the room, and although I couldn’t see his face clearly due to the dim lighting, I felt his gaze as if it could pierce me.
He took a step closer, and my breath caught.
“I was waiting for you,” he said calmly, as if it were the most normal thing in the world. His tone was deep, gravely, but there was something about it that sent a shiver down my spine.
“I’m sorry, I think there’s been a mistake,” I replied, my voice trembling.
I raised a hand, trying to compose myself, but my nerves betrayed me. I knew I didn’t belong here, but at the same time, something made me stay.
Maybe it was curiosity, or maybe something darker I couldn’t understand.
The man smiled. But it wasn’t a friendly smile; it was something much warmer and filled with power, as if he already knew what I was thinking before I even said it.
“You’re not here by accident, Alondra,” he said, pronouncing my name in a way that made me shudder.
No one had said it like he did. With a possessive tone, as if it were an absolute truth.
My name, when he said it like that, sounded like a command.
“I don’t know who… who you are,” I whispered, but my throat was dry. I had the feeling that my words didn’t matter.
He was too close, and the atmosphere, although elegant, made me feel vulnerable.
The man took another step toward me, his scent enveloping me. Despite the distance, I could feel a kind of dark, primitive power emanating from his body. Something wild. Something… I couldn’t explain.
Then, without warning, he inhaled deeply, as if smelling me.
“You… are mine,” he whispered, his words grazing my ear. My body tensed at hearing him.
I stepped back with a movement, my mind was confused. What was happening? Who was he really? Why was there something so dangerous about his presence?
“I don’t understand…” I tried to step back, but it was too late.
Suddenly, without lifting a finger, the man surrounded me with a speed that took my breath away.
The air changed around him, and my thoughts became increasingly confused.
His energy, that overwhelming energy, trapped me in a whirlwind of sensations.
“There’s no escape,” he said with a cold, dangerous smile, and his eyes glowed with a golden intensity, as if they were two full moons shining in the dark.
My legs wobbled under the weight of his gaze. I couldn’t comprehend what was happening.
I shouldn’t be here. This wasn’t the kind of encounter I had imagined, not even in my worst nightmares. Yet, somehow, I felt trapped.
“I don’t know what’s going on,” I said, my voice now barely a whisper.
The confusion wouldn’t let me think clearly or act in defense.
He took another step toward me until the distance between our bodies was almost nothing.
The energy between us felt… impossible to ignore. Something deep, wild, that I couldn’t comprehend.
“You know what’s happening,” he said softly, almost in a whisper.
He brushed my cheek with the tips of his fingers, as if it were a delicate touch, but there was a hidden strength in every one of his movements.
My body trembled, not just from fear, but from something else, something that irrationally drew me toward him.
“No. This can’t be happening,” I told myself, but my breathing became more irregular as he brought his face closer to mine, sniffing the air between us.
“Your fear is delicious, but it’s not necessary,” he said in a low voice that froze my blood.
Before I could say anything more, he kissed me.
The kiss was like a fire. His mouth on mine was instantly possessive and fierce. As if he wanted to devour me, but also as if he were claiming me, marking me in some way that I didn’t understand.
My body responded to his kiss, my lips parting in response, and the heat of his touch completely enveloped me.
The world around me disappeared. The hotel, the flickering lights, everything vanished when his hands began to glide over my body, taking control of me with an authority I couldn’t resist.
I couldn’t think. I didn’t want to think. I just wanted to feel.
And although my mind screamed at me to leave, that I shouldn’t be here, my body surrendered to the passion he unleashed in me.
There was no escape, as he had said. No turning back.
His kiss grew more passionate, more desired, and everything I had believed I knew about myself faded in that instant.
