##Chapter 15 Get in Trouble

Wayne hugged me tightly and sneered back, "You got no position to tell me whom should I date with. As for Doris, it's good for her to know who I really am earlier, so as not to regret after marriage."

"Wayne, how could you..." Mrs. Fox was about to say something, but Wayne ignored her and left.

I looked back at Mrs. Fox and Leopard, only to see the hatred in their eyes at me.

I didn't know what to say, and I finally knew why Wayne brought me here. It seemed that we two could also use each other.

After that, Wayne did not take me to continue his intercourse at the party. Maybe he probably felt a little embarrassed taking me here. Commonly, It was too embarrassing for a rich man with a pole dancer.

But Wayne frowned, "Miss Brown, do you know that I never touch a woman like you?"

"What kind of woman?" I knew what I was good at, so I flirted with him.

Raising my chin and looking at me with his eyes roaming my face, Wayne said, "A smart woman."

I was the one being flirted with instead, and I had to turn away uneasily. Pretending to be calm, I said, "May I take it as appreciation?"

Wayne pressed hard, forcing me to look him in the eye again. I could sense his anger in his eyes.

"It's appreciation, but also warning!" a cold voice came to my ear. "It is very dangerous for a woman to be too clever, especially for the woman with me. She will get herself killed if she is too clever!"

His cold voice made me tremble and his eyes brought fear to me.

But I got my own purpose, and I couldn't easily quit because of Wayne. I wanted to destroy Leopard before Wayne dumped me.

"Mr. Wayne," I asked tentatively, "It's said you didn't get along with Mrs. Fox?"

"Looks my warning doesn't work, huh?" Wayne stared at me.

I was taken aback by his expression but I had to continue, "Mr. Wayne, I was just trying to protect myself. You got power. Leopard is even afraid of that. Since I have offended him many times, I'm afraid he won't easily let go of that."

"You are my woman. He could do nothing to you," Wayne said with arrogance.

I sneered and wondered, "Do you really think you can protect me forever, don't you?"

"Mr. Wayne," I pretended to be weak and squeezed some tears out, "when I was young, my mother abandoned the family and ran away. My father was in prison. What's worse, my younger brother was bullied and his arm got hurt, and he can't carry a heavy load. Our life is so hard. If Leopard wants to take revenge on us, we are like dead meat to him."

Wayne frowned, with a look of disgust on his face, "What are you trying to say?"

"I want your help."

Wayne's expression changed immediately, from some doubts first and then to bantering, "Miss Brown, you want to destroy Leopard with my hands, right?"

I was shocked and didn't expect Wayne to figure out my purpose from my words.

"Miss Brown, I said women will get in trouble sooner or later if they are too smart," Wayne threw those words to me coldly, and then left me and drove away.

Standing there and watching his car gradually disappear, I felt frustrated. It seemed that my story with Wayne was over.

Since he left, I had to call a cab home.

When I got home, William hadn't slept yet. He had been waiting for me.

I felt a little distressed seeing his tired expression, "Look at you. I told you not to wait for me."

He smiled sincerely, "Caroline, I am worried about you. By the way, why didn't your client send you home?"

I was stunned. It seemed William still tried to set Wayne and me up.

I held his hand, "William, you have seen that man. His manner shows he is not an ordinary person. He and I are from different worlds. What happened before was just a coincidence, and he is beyond our reach, so just forget him."

Apparently, William was not convinced, "Caroline, he is noble indeed, but I think you are as good as him. Don't belittle yourself."

I smiled bitterly. In William's eyes, I was still a good sister who got a decent job. But what he didn't know was that his perfect sister was looked down upon and scolded by his enemy.

"All right, go to bed, please," I pushed him back to his room.

I still went to work as usual the next night since this was my job. No matter what happened, I couldn't afford to lose the job. I thought Wayne would never come to me again because I had already offended him. However, things were always beyond my expectation. Just after I finished dancing and was about to leave, Anna came over and told me that Wayne was waiting at Rome 601.

"Waiting for me?" I didn't believe it.

"Yes, for you," Anna confirmed it. "Jo Jo, you need to know Mr. Wayne is a big shot. Sometimes, you need to compromise. Don't be stubborn about things that don't matter. It's you who will suffer at last!"

I know what Anna meant, but even if I wanted to compromise, Wayne, in the first place, had to agree to it.

I changed my clothes and went into the room, but there was not only Wayne in the room but also several dancers from Paradise Lost, including Amy.
