I had never dreamed that I could get my chance so soon.
Once I went to the same old spot to hand in cash, I happened to see Wayne with a lady at a café. Wayne could be with any woman, but I just never could keep myself from watching.
And once again, my curiosity sold me out.
I tried getting away in panic, but I knew it was already too late.
"Babe!" he caught up and held me in his arms.
I looked up at him with a blush.
"Showtime," he whispered. Wayne then proceeded to take me back to the café.
"What's this supposed to mean?" the lady scoffed as we got close.
It was then that I first took a good look at the lady. Girl, was she slay. That proud expression made her look like a peacock.
I sure fell short of her alpha aura. It didn't have much to do with her neat look, though. It was simply that a pole dancer could never compare herself to a fine lady from a distinguished family.
Wayne held me tighter, "This is what I'm all about, Doris. Surprised?"
"Is that so?" Doris got up as well, "I don't care how many side chicks you've got out there, but you'd better go home with me at the end of the day."
Wayne answered with a kiss on my cheek. I blushed like crazy.
"Try not to flatter yourself, Doris."
Doris rolled her eyes at me and sneered, "Is this what you call a worthy opponent of mine?" She then turned on her heels to leave.
Wayne went sullen. It was only after Doris went away that he let go of me.
"That was some great timing. You're there every time I need a scapegoat," Wayne said with a stern face.
I stared at his pretty face blankly and kept wondering why I started to get nervous. His kiss still felt scorching on my cheek.
"So is she..." I asked.
Wayne sipped on his coffee and took a glance at me, "What makes you think you'll get an answer?"
He wasn't wrong, though. As Doris just said, I was just a pole dancer. I was the less qualified one compared to her.
I forced a smile, "Yeah. That was quite rude of me, I guess. I'll see myself out."
"Hold up," Wayne stopped me.
I looked back at him in confusion.
"Someone told me you put my name on your tab at Paradise Lost. Is that so?" Wayne stared at me.
That did come across as a surprise. He must have known about Amy's saving me last time around.
I was still kind of glad he didn't blame Amy for all that, though. She did that to save me, after all.
Wayne stood up and looked down upon me, "You know I hate people freeloading on my name."
He emphasized every word in that sentence. As a result, those words felt like stones.
I tried looking away, but I couldn't help thinking about Leopard.
If revenging my brother with Wayne was what I was after all along, wouldn't this be the perfect chance?
My heart started to race. I tried my best trying to calm myself and said, "I was at the end of my rope as well. I had to say your name with Leopard on me. How I wish I had a second choice."
"Huh," Wayne was intrigued, "Do you know what it takes to say my name, though?"
I fell silent. With all my might, I looked up at his pretty eyes, "I don't think I wanna know about that..." Regardless of the surrounding people, I leaned on him, "Because I like you."
Wayne remained expressionless, "Wanna know how many times I've heard that?"
He then yanked me by the waist and held me close.
"Or let's put it like this. Wanna know what they ended up like?"
I regretted what I was trying to do almost instantly. Of all the women around Wayne, I could have well been the least qualified. He just drove Doris away, and she was even much better than me. What made me think I could get his interest? I must have looked terrible.
Wayne put me down and smiled, "You do have some great timing, though. That makes you different from all the others."
I then had a hard time wrapping my brain around his words.
All of a sudden, he started fondling me. A chill went down my spine, and I looked around in a panic to make sure nobody found out about it.
I stared at him nervously as his hand went up and down on me. As I was about to stop him, he fished my phone away.
There wasn't much on my phone, though. Not even a lock screen. He unlocked it instantly and started dialing away.
Then, his phone rang.
He took a look at his phone and put my phone back into my pocket, "It ain't that easy to be my woman. Now you'll know."
At that time, I still had no idea what he was talking about.
"Being on-call 24/7," he said, "that's the first request."
Before I could have a clue of what was going on, he had already left.
As I looked at his sports car fading into the traffic with his number in my hand, I finally realized I had made it. That was surprisingly easy.
I clenched on my phone.
Wayne was a genius, a millionaire, and a playboy. He had countless women around him, but I never imagined I could've been one of them.
I used to hate seducers the most. Never had I known I was to become one myself.
Then I saved his contact and started planning on my revenge. I knew I was on borrowed time, so I needed an effective plan against Leopard.
He would have to pay for whatever he had done to my brother.
