After about 15 people came through, I was still studying Enslee’s face. She melted all of a sudden in my arms and let me carry her weight. I thought she was about to burst out crying, when I heard “Dad! Dad is that you??”
Two women were holding onto each other as the younger one called out to Dustin. He ran full speed, not caring who was watching and hugged both women in his arms. I smiled, and Enslee started happy crying with tears of joy.
He wrapped Audrey and Emily in his arms and sobbed loudly. We both rushed down the stairs and jogged over to the small family. Dustin looked up from his tight huddle and smiled at me.
“Thank you Alpha, thank you so much. I don’t know what I would do without them.”
