CHAPTER 7
Winter stood outside on the docks. Normally it calmed and soothed Winter’s heart and soul, but right now it did nothing for him.
"They're right, you know?" Dustin said softly as he stood next to Winter.
Nodding, Winter replied, "I know."
"I don't like thinking about myself as a scum piece of s**t. Yet, that's exactly what I am." Dustin rasped.
Winter turned and saw the tears in Dustin's eyes, "Hey, you are not scum. We were wrong and made a mistake, but you are not scum."
"Neither of you are scum."
Winter and Dustin turned to see Rey walking towards them. He gave a small shrug, softly
saying, "I wanted to apologize."
"For what?" Winter asked in disbelief.
"Don't get me wrong, I think that the way you guys have treated those people on that island is reprehensible, but I
