CHAPTER 9
"Shaw, have you seen Winter?" Rey asked.
Shaw lugged a large box, towards the dock, saying, "He's on the ship. He's been loading the supplies since sun up."
"Oh, thanks." Rey said softly.
"Hey Rey, are you ready for our trip?" Midnight asked.
Shrugging, Rey whispered, "I guess."
"Hey, what's wrong?" Midnight asked in concern.
Pursing his lips and feeling a little disappointed, Rey replied, "I don't know what I did, but I think I upset Winter somehow."
"I think he might just be concerned about going to the island, Rey. Our mates seem pretty uptight today." Midnight replied.
"I hope you're right. I guess we can talk while we make our way to the island." Rey said picking up his bag.
Midnight made small talk and then started telling him about Sky and Hardy's newest
