We decide to leave the bedroom behind, opting for a leisurely stroll through the park instead. The sun shines down on us, casting a warm glow over everything. Charmaine slips her hand into mine, our fingers intertwining.
"I'm glad we're doing this," Charmaine says, smiling up at me. "I needed a break from everything."
"Me too," I reply, squeezing her hand gently. "I just want to spend quality time with you, enjoy the moment."
