The morning of my movie date with Diana had finally arrived.
I was actually looking forward to it.
It sounded so ordinary—just two women going into town to watch a movie, grab some snacks, maybe have lunch before heading home. But ordinary was exactly what I needed.
For what felt like forever, my world had been reduced to hospital rooms, doctors, medications, recovery, and the four walls of home. Even after coming home, I still felt like everyone was watching me, waiting for me to overdo it or take one wrong step.
Today, I wanted to forget about all of that.
