I was laying in bed with Celeste asleep in my arms. I smiled as I watched her sleep. I know she had been relieved with how Josh had handled our news last night. If I was being honest, I had been too. I thought that he would be pissed when he had found out. But he had surprised me. Deep down I knew that it was because he was wanting to show Celeste that he was there for her.
Celeste snuggled closer to me in her sleep. The arm that she had draped over my waist tightening as she clung to me. As I watched her, I found myself wondering if she was dreaming. I ran my hand along her spine, letting her know that I was here for her, if she needed me. I continued to hold her, running my fingertips along her spine, until she eventually woke up half an hour later.
