Chapter 1- The night I was taken

The night I was taken

Kim's POV:

Through out our lives, there are some moments that help define who we are and in turn shape whom we shall become. And no matter how brief these moments are, they still have the lasting effect of a lifetime. Tonight was going to be one of those moments that shaped the future I had always dreamed about, and this moment was very far from brief.

There I was quietly hidden in the closet my mother had kept me earlier. It was a secret room in the walls of our home, where no one knew, except me and my parents.

I heard lots of noise outside and as scared as I was, I didn't move a muscle as mother had told me not to. She told me to sit quietly and wait till she'll come back for me. She told me not to go out no matter what, but to sit quietly and wait for her. Which is exactly what I did.

I waited and waited, but she wasn't coming back. I was just a child and didn't even realize that those who had entered our home earlier were assassins. I just sat there in the closet till I ran out of patience. Then I opened the door and out I went.

When I was out of the secret room, I couldn't recognize our home anymore. The whole place had been turned upside down as if we were robbed and I could find bloodstains all over the wall.

Mom was still no where in sight and the whole place was as silent as a graveyard. I kept searching for mom and went from the lobby to the laundry room towards the back door, but still couldn't find my mother.

I didn't know what else to do but to just keep searching for mom. I wandered about the back and looked from room to room until I heard dad groan. I immediately stopped wandering and started running towards the sound of my dad's voice. I was almost at the sitting room when I tripped on something and fell. I looked at what tripped me. It was a dead body.

I screamed at the top of my voice as it was such a dreadful sight for a 5 year old. He had s***h marks all over his body and was covered with blood with his insides all over the floor. I instantly peed in my pants....

Lucky for me, my scream helped my dad pin-point my exact location in the house, but so did the assassins. Then I heard my dad scream back: "Run Kimiko, run".......

I didn't know why he told me to run and even though I was just a kid who didn't even know what was happening, I ran the opposite direction of his voice. I heard footsteps coming behind me which made me even more scared, so I hid myself in a dark corner underneath the dining table. I saw the men who went after me earlier. They were 4 in number and when they couldn't find me, they went back towards the sitting room.

After a few minutes of hiding underneath the table I followed those men carefully so I wouldn't be caught.

I tiptoed back towards the sitting room and saw the dead body I had tripped over earlier. I was so scared but this time I passed over it carefully. I successfully snuck back to the sitting room and hid directly under their noses, but they still couldn't see me. This was when I saw that they had captured my mom and dad and had tied their hands to their legs. They made them sit on the ground and back each other while they were both restrained with ropes like animals.

Tears quickly formed in my eyes as I knew I was in imminent danger if I was caught.

Then I heard the leader of Mr Lee's men tell my father:

"I will make you suffer slowly before I kill you. I will take that which you cherish the most and rub it in the dirt. I will not only kill your wife before your eyes, but I will take away her dignity first", the man said with a devilish grin on his face. A face I would never forget.

He took my mother from where she was tied and ripped her of her clothes. He stripped her fully naked and spanked her ass. My father begged for mercy. I've never seen him so broken before. He indeed loved mother. He told the man: "Han, please don't do this. Take my life, but do not molest this poor woman like this", my father said with teary eyes. But, the man wouldn't listen. He took my already weak mother with scars all over her and placed her naked body on a couch directly facing my father. He gushed over my mother's naked body, put her in missionary position and pulled off his trousers.

He took his erect d*ck and plunged it inside my mother, pounding her with all the energy in his body.

My father watched in despair and couldn't breathe.

Even though my mother was weak and looked pale, she groaned in pain and tried to fight him off with the last strength she had. But she was powerless against this monster.

He pounded and pounded my mother till he started to shake all over. As at that time, I didn't know why.

I was there behind that sofa watching the most horrific moment of my life. My mother was being molested and my father couldn't do anything about it. He couldn't take it. He begged for death, but they didn't give it to him.

After the man was done with my mother, he took my father's sword, looked my mother in the eye and said:  " you wretched b***h, this is how it ends for traitors".... He took my father's sword and drove it through my mother's heart while he was still inside her.

I shook with fear and couldn't hold it anymore, I just saw my mother killed at age 5. I screamed "mama". I was in tears, my mother had just been killed!

My father sat there in shock. It was like he was dead while he looked at the horrific fate that just befell his wife.

The leader of Mr. Lee's men laughed hysterically as he had just ended my family and destroyed my future. My father became lifeless the moment his wife died. My scream gave my location out when my mother was killed. I was now captured together with my father.

The men later killed my father too with his own sword and cut of both his head and that of my mother to deliver to Mr. Lee. They took my father's sword as a souvenir of their wretched victory. I thought they were definitely going to kill me next and passed out at the terrific sight before me.
