"Okay, good."
"Where we going?"
"I thought we could get a coffee and—"
"—Coffee? Gross!" Chloe snapped, aiming her phone at Xander. "Maybe get a few tins of Monster or Red Bull, chill out at the park?"
"What? Are you joking?" Xander raised his voice and turned to Chloe. He saw her aiming her phone at him.
"Smile, babes."
"What?"
"Smile."
"What do you mean smi—"
She took the picture and locked her phone. Before he could protest, she slid her phone into the pocket and giggled. "You’re so cute, you know that."
"I’m not happy with having my picture taken."
"No-one is," Chloe offered.
Chloe and Xander were at the Kaleidoscope Shopping Mall twenty minutes later. Chloe knew the place well, but never frequented any of the dozen or so cafes that were there.
