CHAPTER 39Pain was all that Lumina knew. The general was somewhere near her, but she couldn’t tell where.
A groan came to her left, under her wing. She couldn’t protect him. She couldn’t protect herself.
She drifted in and out of consciousness.
Then the hallucination started. The air surrounding her was heating up. She couldn’t make sense of it. All she could do was focus on the pain as the Lords of the Darkness invaded every opening of her body, going in through her eyes, mouth, nose, ears. More razors cut their way under the skin of her face and down her throat. She choked, knowing that although her body would die, death would not save her from this torment.
