Episode 1: Say Yes… Or Else
“Say yes. And your family lives. Say no…”
Damien’s voice was velvet-lined steel. Cold. Final. Sharp enough to cut through air.
“…and I walk away.”
Rhea Castellanos stared at him from across the penthouse’s marble floor, the champagne flute in her hand trembling slightly. Outside, London’s skyline flickered like a dying dream. Inside, the silence stretched — broken only by the soft ticking of the clock above the bar. Eleven fifteen. Forty-five minutes to midnight.
He was taller than she remembered. Broader, too. More dangerous in person than in all the whispered rumors she’d overheard bartending at exclusive events. The Moreaux heir—the untouchable, ruthless son of one of the richest and most feared men in Europe.
His black suit fit him like armor. His silver cufflinks gleamed like handcuffs. His eyes… God. His eyes were not made of anything human. They were forged from something darker—storm clouds, gunmetal, and a lifetime of never being told no.
“What exactly are you asking me to do?” she whispered, though her voice was steadier than her heart.
“Marry me,” Damien said, his expression unreadable. “Tonight. Before midnight.”
A long pause.
The air between them felt charged, electric, as if saying no might bring the building down.
Rhea felt her stomach knot. “Why me?”
“Because I don’t trust anyone else,” he replied, moving closer. “And because I know you’ll do anything to keep your brother alive.”
She flinched. “You threatened him?”
“I made you a promise,” he said coolly. “Say yes… and he lives a long, comfortable life. Say no, and you’ll never see him again.”
Some people were married for love. Others were married for money. Rhea Castellanos? She was about to be married by midnight… for survival.
