CHAPTER 1: The Reasons for Jennifer's expulsion from the London University where she attends
The protagonist of the novel "Beyond Control" is a 27-year-old Canadian woman who is leading a miserable existence. She was a drug addict who spent her whole life doing heavy drugs, drinking alcohol, and smoking cigarettes. She was expelled from the University of London (a federation of multiple colleges and institutes), where she was pursuing her master's degree, and was subsequently deported from London to her hometown in Canada. According to the news source, cocaine was discovered on her at the university's premises, which caused her to be expelled and deported from London. Her parents did all they could to help her make a permanent change, but their efforts were ineffective. Now that she has returned to Canada, she has continued to live the same life she had in London, which has led her to be forced by her parents to marry a man she does not like after becoming pregnant out of wedlock by her father's personal driver, John.
She chose to lead a carefree and meaningless life despite the fact that she was the only child of her parents and that they loved her very much. John, who just so happened to be the father of her unborn child, was able to transform her from a drug addict to a devoted homemaker.
Jennifer's return to Canada from London as a result of her drug trafficking offenses
On one faithful morning, Jennifer came home, she took a flight from London where she was schooling and came home, she met her mother and her mother was excited to see her around, so her mother received her, but her mother was worried because of the kind of life she was living. After opening the door for her to enter the house, her mother collected her luggage, but they. So on her mother's face was not good enough, so the mother asks her what happened why she has not decided to leave the kind of life she was living, the mother asked that she heard at home that a cocaine was found in high in the University, so the school management or the University Authority had to expel her from the university so that is the reason why she came home, so the mother asked her whether that was what she sent her to go and do at the University, she didn't Alter a word instead Jennifer insisted that she had to go upstairs and relax that she and her mother we will have to discuss on that matter some other time, so the mother said okay no problem that she's going inside the kitchen to prepare her something to eat that she should go upstairs and shower then come downstairs and eat her lunch.
In a short while, Jennifer descended from the second floor to come down and eat her lunch. She met her mother in the living room and asked her if the food was ready; the mother responded that it was. Jennifer insisted that she wanted to eat her lunch because she was starving after a long journey; the mother said okay, no problem, but she had to wait for their maid to return to serve her the food. Jennifer was about to go upstairs when her father returned with their driver.
Her father was disappointed to see her at home because of the kind of life she was living after she was expelled from university. The mother told Jennifer's father that she sent her on an errand to go and get something at the supermarket and that she should wait for her to come so that she could serve the food to her.
John was Jennifer's driver and new to the job, so Jennifer had never met him before. Jennifer was in school when John started working for her father, so her mother went upstairs right away. After a short while, Jennifer's mother returned and introduced John to Jennifer, saying, "John, meet my daughter; her name is Jennifer." Jennifer rebuffed John's attempt for a handshake and walked inside her room, so Jennifer's mother urged John not to worry since she was not happy right now and to leave her alone for a while. When their mother instructed John to go to his room and wait for the maid to bring him dinner, John said, "No problem."
After a short while, Jennifer's father entered the house; he was dressed and ready to leave. He informed Jennifer's mother that he would be leaving for a meeting and would return in an hour. When Jennifer's father left, Jennifer followed suit. She informed her mother that she wanted to go out with her friends. The mother responded by saying, "Jennifer, you know your father doesn't approve of those reckless friends of yours.
When the father return from the meeting he had attended, he was eating dinner. The father noticed that Jennifer was not there and asked the mother to call her to come and join them for dinner. However, the mother responded to the father by saying that she sent her to go and get something for her at the store. As a result, the mother became concerned. The father asked, "is this the person you told me you sent to go and get something from the supermarket? Why is she coming back home drunk?" The mother responded that they were both busy with household duties. The father said, "Okay, no problem."
Her father was extremely upset and angry at her. He asked her, "Jennifer, is it a crime or a curse to have you as a child?" because he had sent her to London to complete her master's degree. However, when she arrived, she misbehaved and led an irresponsible lifestyle. Because of this, she was expelled from university, and she is now back here, leading the same lifestyle, said her father.
The father asked Jennifer, "Why do you choose to hurt us like this?" Jennifer said, "You people choose to hurt yourselves." I'm just having fun with my life," her mother promptly and firmly demanded an end. When Jennifer saw her father trying to beat her, she tried to climb the stairs and go upstairs, where her mother and father were still eating in the dining room. Her father had lost his appetite as a result of the kind of life Jennifer was leading, and he wanted to stand up and slap her, but her mother held him down and convinced him to forgive her because Jennifer was only a child.
